“An open-water crossing was interrupted by a Leviathan-class sea serpent drawn by the chest's magical aura. The battle lasted three hours and nearly sank the Wailing Mare. Vessa's offensive spellwork was the difference, her highest single-session damage total. Finch scored three consecutive critical hits from the rigging. The serpent retreated when Vessa hit it with Chain Lightning from the crow's nest, but not before destroying the aft mast.”
