Doc Proves Himself, Toxic Grotto Nearly Drowns Thrain

“The party recapped their temple encounter with Saja and Baja before diving into Glitter Smack's fae game show, the Gnarly Delve, starting with the Toxic Grotto. Doc proved his identity to a skeptical audience via a chaotic Zone of Truth standoff with Bob before the group fought through fungus zombie husks and a horse-sized victory bell creature, racking up gnarly points with spirit guardians, hunter's mark shots, and a wild-shaped crocodile bite. The real crisis came at the acid lake bridge, where a tentacle monster repeatedly grappled and dragged Thrain, Doc, and Oak into the toxic water, nearly drowning Thrain before he finished the beast off with a point-blank gunshot down its throat. The session ended with the party draining a Gloom Heart to clear their toxic saturation at the cost of a harder final room, resting up on hit dice, and bracing for the boss battle ahead.”
