The Tomb of Annihilation

The party braved the ruins of Camp Righteous, surviving a spiked pit, a corridor of swinging axes solved by carrying each other on their backs, and a fire-tile puzzle before Dahc snatched a pristine magical jug from atop a crumbling pillar and the whole temple collapsed around them. Back on the river, Oak wild-shaped into a giant toad to bluff past Cribbit and his grippli toll-collectors, with Bob sacrificing the dead village woman's earring to pay the fare. The session ended on a knife's edge: Eku standing rigid and silent on the boat, her eyes locked on something unseen ahead.

A death curse is consuming the souls of the resurrected across Faerun, and the party has been hired by the dying Syndra Sylvain to find and destroy its source somewhere deep in the jungles of Chult. They have left Port Nyanzaru behind, traveling south down the Soshenstar River under Eku's guidance toward Camp Vengeance, Ambala, and the mysterious Orlonga. Two unknown magical items ride with them, a cliffhanger threat looms at the bow, and the jungle is only getting darker.
