Before Session 2
Testy
Previously on Testy…
The party descended into Ashwick Keep to recover the Medallion of Soul Binding, surviving poison darts, a fire trap that dropped Ugly unconscious, and a flooded cave crawling with giant spiders. A warrior-pose puzzle guarded the final chamber, solved when Craig struck a triumphant stance over a dragged corpse on a natural 20. Then Healy walked into Malakar's tomb and ended the ancient wizard in a single action, a natural-20 Level 2 Guiding Bolt reducing him to rubble before he could speak a second word.
The Story So Far
The party was hired by the Ashwick Elder to find three missing treasure hunters and retrieve or destroy the Medallion of Soul Binding, an artifact Malakar the Grey used to tether his consciousness beyond death. Two of the three hunters are confirmed dead, and the medallion is now in the party's hands, pulsing with cold blue light. The Elder is waiting in Ashwick for a report, but the party has already decided they would rather keep the medallion than hand it over. A name on a crumpled note, Rook, suggests someone else knew about this job and its value long before the party did.
